Junior Council's 30th Snowball 2018 at the Field Museum

Two of our friends joined the Junior Council and reached out to me about photographing the 30th Snowball event at the Field Museum. It raises money for children with HIV/AIDS at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. I was so excited to be a part of such a good cause and have the opportunity to shoot at the museum. I love dinosaurs so it was a win win.

Snowball was a blast! It was one of the most fun events we have shot. One of my favorite parts of the evening (besides shooting at the Field Museum) was listening to Rod Tuffcurls and the Benchpress. They were AMAZING. Sometimes while shooting you don't really notice the music because you are so focused on the people. But as soon as they started playing the King's Speech from Hamilton and You're Welcome from Moana I was hooked. And clearly so was the crowd. They had the party going the ENTIRE time. I loved them so much that we got a group of friends to go see them several weeks later. Apparently they were a popular band when Lex was at Bradley so he had seen them several times before. If you don't know who they are or haven't seen them before, fix that. Such a fun band.

The event was so successful the Junior Council ended up raising $270, 000. Way to go Junior Council and Chicago-ians!
