Some fun facts about me!
-I had a baby boy in October 2021! His name is Wilder Callahan. Ask me to show you some photos, I will happily share :)
-Was a redhead for 5 years, had bright pink for 4 and now I am back to some red!
-Lex and I were married on 9/1/2018 and it was THE BEST DAY. Not only am I so happy to be married to my best friend but I also feel like being a wedding photographer took on a whole new meaning after that.
-I am a HUGE Harry Potter and Superman fan. So much so our home is full of memorabilia and I even have simplistic tattoos for both on my left arm. I was sorted into Gryffindor, which house are you? :)
-Pretty sure I could live off of queso.
-One of my favorite things to do is to do a family outing in the morning for breakfast sandwiches, lattes and exploring a park or town after.
-I LOVE to read. It is probably my favorite hobby. I am back into the swing of things have read 31 books so far in 2023.
-True crime in book, movie, or podcast form is a passion of mine.
-My “uniform” basically involves some sort of overalls. If you see me out and about or at a small session, you will most likely find me wearing a pair.
Hey!! I’m Mackenzie, the owner of this proud little business. And I am so honored you are checking out my corner of the internet. I absolutely LOVE my job. If you have ever seen me shoot, you will probably see my do a happy dance frequently because documenting people and their moments is the freaking best. I am pretty sure I was born with a camera in my hand taking photos of everything in sight. My first paid shoot was actually for my best friend’s senior photos in 2010. Her mom paid me $50 for them and I was on top of the WORLD. Pretty sure they still have them hanging up around their house! <3
Fast forward to today, almost 13 years later I am now focusing on weddings, families and small businesses. I am super passionate about love, documenting families as they are and helping create content for small businesses. If any of those apply to you, I would love to chat!!
MEET THE TEAM
Lex
I started my photo and video career when I met and fell in love with Mackenzie. Shortly after we started dating, I picked up a camera and haven’t set it down since. With over five years of experience, I have established myself as the primary second for Mackenzie. I love Taco Bell, Harry Potter, cold brew, and dogs (even though I don’t have one of my own…yet).
If you get the chance to meet us, you can distinguish me from Mackenzie because I have a beard and she has red hair. Also, mainly, because she does not have a beard. Don’t worry about feeling nervous or uncomfortable in front of the camera. I can make almost anyone laugh, and most of the jokes Mackenzie has come from me.
