Whitney + Rob Wildlife Prairie Park Hanna City Wedding

Whitney and Rob met through mutual friends. Whitney's coworker's husband is best friends with Rob and they knew they would be perfect! They had their first date at Fatty's Bar & Grill in DeKalb (a bar my family loves to go to so I was so excited to hear about their first date). Whitney said it was love at first sight for them. The moment she saw Rob she knew she was going to marry him. Rob felt exactly the same way. They had never had this kind of connection with anyone before. That was May 2017. They got engaged in January 2018. And now they are married!! When you know, you just know <3 One of the funniest parts about their story is that Whitney grew up in Malta (also just like me! Her mom helped my Dad with our Malta Summer Youth Program - small world) and Rob get up in Princeton. When Whitney's coworker brought up Rob she said he was living at DeKalb at the time. Whitney was living in Princeton. What are the odds that these two would end up living in each other's home towns and end up meeting that way? I just love it!

Rob and Whitney were married in a cute little Church up the street from their home and then went out to Wildlife Prairie Park to celebrate! All the magical decor you see in their reception was DIY and is completely inspiring. They had been collecting branches for months and had a little forest going in their garage. The moment I walked in to their reception I was blown away. I just love how they took this space and made it their own with all these beautiful details.

There was so much love the whole day. The way these two looked at each other was the sweetest and I am so honored to have documented one part of their love story.
