Gwen + Joel 606 Trail and Chicago Diner Engagement Session

I think we might have rescheduled this session 3 times. Right before our first date Gwen tore Achilles tendon in an epic game of teachers vs students 8th grade volleyball game. I imagine her diving to hit the ball as it happens and scoring the winning point while everyone cheers :)

When Gwen was all healed up we finally got a chance to meet and shoot. And let me just say it was well worth the wait! Gwen and Joel said this was their first time doing a shoot but you never would have known. The whole time they were just naturals in front of the camera. And so excited to discuss their upcoming wedding.

I am always ready to suggest location ideas for my couples but Gwen was on top of it! They went exploring and found these murals just below the 606 Trail which is a converted path. It used to be an old train line but in an attempt to give Logan Square, one of the least green areas in the city, more green space the line was turned into a path you can run, bike, and rollerblade on!

We finished the night with some AMAZING vegan milkshakes that I will 100% be going back for next time we are in the area. Anyone who suggests ending a shoot with food is also 100% my favorite.

I seriously cannot wait for Gwen and Joel's wedding in October!! They are some of the sweetest people we have worked with and I am so excited to hang out and help them celebrate their special day <3

Also, totally OBSESSED with all this color. These murals and their outfits were phenomenal and literally everything I could want in a session.
