Rachel + Marlania Renwick Mansion Iowa Wedding

Literally everything that could go wrong on a wedding day did. A car was stolen, their tent collapsed, vendors didn’t work out, it was 45 mph winds so the ceremony had to be moved inside…yet it was the most beautiful day full of so much love.

Rachel and Marlania got married in the foyer of the Renwick Mansion. Their ceremony was so joyful and special. All of their guests sat on the benches they built just next to the stairs while others watched from the side rooms. After their ceremony, they celebrated and danced the night away. It was perfect. Rachel and Marlania could have let the obstacles stop them from enjoying their day but they didn’t. They embraced it. And now they have such an awesome story to tell :) You may remember their engagement session we did earlier this year when it was pouring down rain all day and we were the only crazies to run around in it. But it was awesome. We are just covering all the bases for extreme weather with them!

One of my absolute favorite parts of the day was their first look. They had gotten ready together due to dealing with the car and local police. Yet both Rachel and Marlania were still getting teary eyed when they finally saw each other all dressed up. Didn’t they look AMAZING?! I especially loved the happy observers behind us (who we got a photo of). Everyone could not have been more excited for them!

Also, can we talk about how awesome it is to have a food truck and brick oven pizza for dinner?? Lex and I tried the pizza and it was phenomenal. Such a fun way to eat dinner!

Congratulations you two!! It was a crazy wild day but Lex and I are so happy we got to be a part of it.
