Lex and I are MARRIED! - Part One

While we wait for our photographer and videographers work I wanted to share some photos I took of the week and morning of our wedding! While I didn't take too many I had to capture some behind the scenes moments to remember all the hard wok that went into our wedding. It was a crazy week of LONG hours putting things together, hanging stuff, decorating, etc. And as much of a pain as it was sometimes to do (I'm thinking back to our bottle peeling night when our AC broke in our apartment) I am so thankful we did. Everything turned out better than we could have ever imagined.

We spent full days pretty much every day from the weekend before up until the rehearsal dinner on Friday. There was just SO much to do. Thankful for the friends and family who helped out Friday and Saturday morning and the friends who took off time to come help us during the work week since everything was taking longer than expected and we definitely needed more hands.

Our wedding was the BEST day ever thanks to everyone who contributed. Big and small. And we are so grateful for all of you.

Huge shout out to my family for all they they did to make this wedding happen. They did SO much work to make this day perfect for us. I don’t think we could have pulled off half of our ideas without them between building a bar, making signs, running errands, spray painting animal place cards and just making out backyard and house ready for the festivities. It was a HUGE endeavor. You guys rock.

The next blog post of our wedding will be some favorites from our vendors, photos family and friends too, Instax photos my brother Zachary got, and our photo booth so stay tuned <3

Some fun facts about the details below:
- The square photos were hung on a banner holder made out of PVB pipes put together by my Dad for bridal expos. We printed out photos of our bridal party and sat the display behind the guestbook/gift table. Nicole (one of my maids-of-honor) painted the sign that went on top!
- I love little animal figurines and have used them in art in several apartments. So my mom got a bunch off Amazon and spray painted them gold and put little photo holders in them for our place cards!
- All the lights used in the party barn or tent, we strung up ourselves!
- We had talked about using lanterns in the tent when we first got engaged but we kinda stopped talking about it since to rent them it was outrageously expensive. My mom found a great deal on Amazon so we ordered a bunch and then hooked them to hula hoops/string lights.
- We had a sugar cookie decorating night for the rehearsal dinner with family friends.
- Made a fake fire place with a long, candles, and string lights.
- Lex didn't want to do traditional boutineres, so we got little shot bottles of everyone’s favorite alcohol and made boozineres! They didn’t last long but made for a fun shot photo :)
- My dad, brother, and a family friend spent an entire Saturday from 8am-12am making a bar in our party barn. My parents hang out their every Friday!
-Lex gave the guys cigars as part of their gifts so we could do a cigar photo. I didn’t want to miss out on a photo photo so the ladies played with sparklers.
- Marissa found a local woman who has her own Etsy shop and sent her photos of all of our dresses. She then painted them on stemless wine glasses! They are BEAUTIFUL. Too pretty to use so mine I snow on the main shelf in our living room :D
