Adventures at Disney World Epcot and Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal

Disney World Epcot

When we found out that we were going to shoot a wedding in Venice Beach and that is was only a few hours away from Disney, we knew we had to make a trip there. So a few days before the wedding we flew into Orlando to hang out with some friends and go to Disney and Universal for the first time ever (well at least for me). We had been trying to do this trip for a long time but it never happened so I was excited excited when we finally made it happen!

It was such an awesome weekend full of delicious food and drinks. I even managed to survive a few rides! We went to the Hogwarts ride and I was super nervous but it was AWESOME. I could see why people wait in line for 2 hours to go on it. One thing I didn’t realize until we started planning our trip was that HP World was broken up into 2 different parks. The Hogwarts ride in Hogsmeade was amazing but Diagon Alley was definitely way cooler. And of course while we were there we had to get a few wands and some butter beer. I would 100% suggest going to both but it is expensive. I feel like a lot of people don’t realize that it is 2 parks so always make sure to research before going!

Epcot was also pretty awesome. I’m not sure what I had thought it would be like but it was definitely larger than I expected. And more intricate. Having been to a few of the places Epcot represented, I was impressed with how realistic they were. Not to mention there were a ton of places to get food so I was a big fan.

I want to give a HUGE thank you to our friends Ryan and Hannah for hanging out with us all weekend and for doing all the things I was dying to do. You guys rock :) Cannot wait for our next Florida adventure!

Also, if we didn’t have our amazing friends who work at Disney help get us into Epcot and let us stay at their house we would have gone through an agency. If you are planning on going I would highly recommend reaching out to my friend Danielle. She is an expert on all things Disney and can help you plan a FANTASTIC trip plus maybe even get you some sweet deals on things. She has been going to Disney almost every year for forever so she knows all the fun things to do.
