Michelle and Tim Alter Brewing Downers Grove Wedding

I got a notification on my phone that I had a new message on WeddingWire. It was an inquiry for a wedding that was happening in one week at Alter Brewing in Downers Grove. Often times when I get a message like that on there it ends up being spam but I decided to message back right away and ask them to confirm just in case. Michelle replied back within minutes saying they were in fact getting married almost a week from then and it was going to be super nontraditional.

I thought “say no more”! Whenever anyone is explaining their wedding and the words super nontraditional are used I know that it is going to be an amazing time. And I was so right. Michelle and Tim are awesome. Like so awesome. From the moment we met that Saturday to the end of the night I just felt so lucky I got to be a part of their day. They had initially planned to not have a wedding photographer but decided last minute to try to find one. And they said they were so glad they did!

Michelle and Tim actually knew each other from high school and connected again several years later. Almost 2 months in to dating Tim asked for Michelle’s Dad’s blessing to marry her. 11 years later they finally made it official and it was such a beautiful ceremony :) From the tears and cheers you could just tell how excited everyone was to be there and a part of this.

Their wedding was infused with so many details that reflected them. Tim’s sister made their incredible cake for them, they wore chucks and cat socks, they got ready together, the material on Michelle’s bouquet was the sash from her mom’s wedding and they had a pizza truck (Bricks Wood Fired Pizza). When it comes down to your day, having the details that make you happy and that reflect you are the ones that are going to make your wedding infinitely more special.

So glad WeddingWire brought us together :) Congratulatons to an kick ass couple!!
