Rebekah and Jacob Field Museum Chicago Engagement Session
So many fun shoots at the Field Museum in Chicago this year! First we got to shoot the Junior Council’s Snowball in January and now Rebekah and Jacob’s engagement session :)
I had been eagerly counting down the days until their engagement session for weeks. As soon as Rebekah said they wanted to do their shoot at the Field I was SO EXCITED. Because dinosaurs. I love them and think the Field is 100X more fun than MSI…sorry Lex! This is a very real debate we have in our little family the Field versus Museum of Science and Industry. While I am am all for dinosaurs I will happily also shoot a session in any museum that means something to you!
This was right up right up their alley. We explored the museum checking out the new dinosaur exhibit as well as a few others. It was so much fun being able to incorporate the exhibits into their session and finding unique ways to utilize the backdrop to tell a story. While I love a good session in a field my heart will always love shoots like these! Don’t ever feel like you HAVE to do a session a certain way. As long as we are allowed to shoot somewhere and aren’t breaking any rules (though I have hopped a few fences in my time) we are good.
Also it was so fun to see my cousin (on Lex’s side) with her fiancé! When we first met I think Rebekah was in her senior year of high school and now she will be getting married this summer!! It was wonderful to see them interact just the two of them away from a huge family party. The way they are together just melts my heart.
