Mackenzie Maeder Chicago Photographer Favorite Wedding Photos April 2020

I absolutely love being a wedding photographer. I love providing a gallery full of real candid moments of couples days. I love telling their story. When we meet up for their engagement session or just to chat, I am always so excited to hear how they met, got engaged, what they are envisioning for their wedding day.

Someone once made a comment to me that once you had seen one wedding, you had seen them all. And that could not be further from the truth. Or at least my truth. The general concept of 2 people getting married is the same but how to happens, how people celebrate, what they chose as important to them is so different from one day to the next. Some days have the perfect weather while others it rains or the wind is so strong your tent collapses hours before the ceremony. We’ve had couples serve dinner from food trucks and couples who had plated meals. We have shot outdoor ceremonies as well as in churches. Some days have ended in sparkler exits some in balloon releases. We really have seen so many wonderful ways to celebrate love these past several years! Which is why this blog post was so hard to narrow down favorites. This is just a little sampling of all the awesome moments we got to be a part of.
