Marissa and Dan Save the Date Couples Photos Ukrainian Village Chicago

My sister is getting married!!!

This past Labor Day, while Dan and Marissa were out at a beach in Chicago, Dan proposed. We had known for months he was going to propose but didn’t know when. So we all waited anxiously for the call saying they were engaged.

I wanted to make sure they got some photos done before my maternity leave for their save the dates. I wasn’t sure how recovery was going to go or how life with a newborn was going to be. So one week when Lex had to stay in the city for a trade show for work, we both went and stayed with Marissa and Dan at their house. We decided to do their shoot that week one evening and get a few photos. Well if you have seen the amount of photos I deliver to clients or the amount of photos I take personally, you’d know that taking a few photos would be impossible and it turned into a whole shoot! I don’t know how we are going to top these for their engagement session this summer.

So excited for them and for Dan to officially be a part of the family. I know this isn’t everyone’s situation but we are very fortunate as siblings to be friends as well as to have significant others we all love. So while it’ll be official this fall, it has felt like Dan was a part of the family for a long time now.
