Matt and Grace Holy Cross and Fabyan Forest Preserve Batavia Illinois Wedding

Always fun when you get to photograph something for family :) Matt is our cousin on Lex’s side! I love when we have these opportunities to document a wedding like this not only for the couple but for all of the family who couldn’t be there. Matt and Grace had a smaller church ceremony followed by an intimate backyard reception. Leading up to their wedding day I kept checking the forecast. I was so nervous it was going to be super gross out and we wouldn’t be able to do photos outside but it ended up being the perfect day. We also got lucky that the church had such pretty spots around it to use as backdrops!

Lex and I had only met Grace one time at Christmas a couple years ago. With a family as big as Lex’s it is hard to actually get to know people sometimes at this big family gatherings. But seeing Matt and Grace interact with one another and talk about their time together, it was clear they were a great pair.
