Sarah and Patrick Salvage One Chicago Engagement Session

Sarah and Patrick love to go antiquing and thrifting on dates. When we had our first phone call to discuss the possibility of me photographing their wedding, they asked if I thought it would be weird if we went to an antique shop for their session. I said I thought it would be awesome!! After Sarah emailed around for a bit, they decided to go to Salvage One. If you don’t know what this place is is equal parts shop and venue. So while we were shooting other people could walk around and buy things! Which makes it a very fun and unique backdrop. Check out those letters and tubs!!

I love getting to know my couples during their session, asking them all sorts of questions. And one of my favorite things I learned was that Sarah and Patrick lived about a mile for each other their entire lives but never knew each other or crossed paths. They had friends in common but actually met online! Isn’t that incredible??

They will also be getting married under the tree they got engaged at at Morton Arboretum. I am so excited for that and cannot wait for the imagery we will create :)
