Shannon and Jake Timber Moose Lodge Heber City Utah Destination Vacation Wedding

Last September Lex and I flew out to SLC, Utah and drove an hour to Heber City. We don’t travel this far for weddings very often but when we do its magical. Shannon and Jake had gone back and forth on quite a few ideas of what they wanted their wedding to be. They ultimately planned a vacation wedding where they rented this ginormous house (and I am not kidding, it was so ridiculous you could easily get lost) so all of their loved ones had a place to stay and hang out.

Timber Moose Lodge is just breathtaking. You enter this private community and drive and drive and drive and then all of the sudden you are at the top of the community overlooking this lake. It was amazing!

They were married on the porch overlooking the lake and then catered tacos for dinner. Their details were a mix of rustic and mermaid. I even made the bracelets for the bridesmaids back in 2020!! So fun to see them on the wedding day <3 They then had a casual reception of drinking, dancing and hanging out. It was just the best day!

Lex and Shannon have been friends since college so it was really special to be able to photograph hers and Jake’s wedding. And it was our first weekend without Wilder together which was hard but also nice to have some time to hangout just the two of us. We initially didn’t plan on doing anything while we were there and just kind of getting some work done at the hotel or relaxing. But while we were eating our bagels at this delicous breakfast place (which we went back to the next day) we looked up cute downtowns to walk around and shop. We randomly found Park City and drove the 25 minutes to get there. SO glad we did because it was the cutest little town and we found some gems while shopping. And it was such a fun hour date.

Congratulations Shannon and Jake!! So honored we got to be a part of your incredible weekend <3
