Marissa and Dan Meson Sabika Naperville September Wedding
My sister is married!! And what an awesome day it was. It feels like a million years ago and just yesterday we were celebrating her and Dan. Not only was I the matron-of-honor, I also photographed their rehearsal dinner, some details and getting ready that morning, some portraits after the ceremony and I hired a team to do photo and video the day of so I could edit everything after. It was really special being able to do all of that and more for them <3 I love them both so much!!
If you were there at the wedding, you heard my speech about how Marissa is one of my very favorite people and best friends. I feel so happy that Dan is officially part of our family though he has felt like he has been a part of it for a long time.
I honestly don’t think we could have asked of a more perfect day with a better group of people. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, we were on time or ahead of schedule all day, the party was so fun!! I could go on and on but I think you should watch the video and scroll through the photos to truly relive the day <3
But I will some fun details:
-Both of my parents walked Marissa down the aisle like they did with me at mine.
-Dan’s uncle officiated the wedding!
-My son, Wilder, needed a nap during cocktail hour just as it was ending, so I put him in his carrier and he took a quick nap during intros and speeches.
-Dan’s cousin sang a song mid party on the dance floor. It is a tradition!
-Dan sabered a bottle of champagne!
-Marissa wore some pieces made by me but also by my incredible talented friend Christina. She owns Kono and Co. You HAVE to check out her work!
-My Mom, Marissa, and my SIL all made the bouquets and worked on the centerpieces.
-My Dad built the photo display.
-My brother built the Scheckel sign that was used at their bridal shower and their reception.
Also, shout out to Abi Voightman for being the videographer and Morgan Gust for capturing the photos. You both rocked it!! And I can’t thank you enough.
