Visiting My Sister In Law in Annapolis Maryland for Boll Family Vacation // Chicago Travel Photographer

Got back from visiting my sister-in-law last week where she lives in Annapolis, Maryland! It was such a cute downtown area, definitely our kind of vibes with all the cute shops and fun buildings. Reminded me of one of my favorite places: South Haven, MI. It was great finally getting to visit Allie after all of these years!

Some of my favorite things we did:

The Smithsonian - Natural History Museum: Wilder loooooves museums so we watched all of the Night At The Museums. They are so fun if you haven’t seen them! The second movie takes place in some of the Smithsonian museums so we had to stop there. DC isn’t too far from Annapolis so we took the train in and walked around. The museums are all free which is amazing. Some require a time slot while others don’t which we didn’t know. We tried to go to Air and Space but didn’t realize it required a time slot.

Iron Rooster - an awesome restaurant where they make their own pop tarts called Roo Tarts!! We sat outside which is always a plus and the food was delicious. Whenever we go back for a visit I want to go for brunch.

Ghost Tour - I am not sure who we booked the ghost tour through but we did an early evening tour before it go dark. Kids were welcome and Wilder loves ghosts! I don’t know how much he was following along with the stories but he seemed to enjoy it. We got to walk through a cemetary so he was excited. Charlie, out tour guide, was amazing!!

DC Zoo - We got to see the pandas which was so cool! It is not a big zoo but it is verrry hilly. So if you go, definitely be prepared for that. And the crowds to see the pandas while you are there.

Lincoln Memorial + Einstein Statue- We explored DC a little and walked to a few popular sights like the Lincoln Memorial, Einstein Statue and MLK Memorial. All were awesome. Fun to see some new things and to see the Lincoln Memorial. I think I went there on our DC trip in 8th grade.
