Devon + Danielle Grand Geneva Wedding

I have known Devon and Danielle for years so I was thrilled when they asked me to be their wedding photographer. When I shot their engagement session last summer, it was like we picked up right where we left off. Hanging out with them all day during their wedding festivities was a BLAST. These two are so laid back. Their goal was to get married and just have fun and I think they nailed it. 

It was so funny walking into their cocktail hour and seeing the photos they chose to hang up, I think I took most of them. Devon and Danielle were one of the first couples I practiced on. We went to my hometown and shot in mini old train yard in Malta. While my photography has improved since then I still love those photos :) I also took about a billion photos of them just hanging out over the years during our early days in college. It was so wonderful to see that the photos I took meant so much to them to this day.

Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day for their wedding. It was at the Grand Geneva hotel in Lake Geneva. It had great cloud coverage during their ceremony (a photographer's dream!) and their reception space was just gorgeous. During the winter, you can ski just behind the reception hall. I also loved the details they put into their reception! Danielle is a big Disney fan and even plans Disney trips! If you are in need of some Disney trip planning help she is the person to ask. Her mom and her have been going around Christmas for as long as I can remember. Devon even surprised Danielle with a proposal on one of their trips! So they had to include a few Disney items in their wedding :) They even sent me a Disney candle afterwards that was a Butter Beer scent since I love Harry Potter so much. They are seriously the best.

I could go on and on about how awesome their day was. I've said it before but I'll say it again. It is truly an honor to be able to do this for friends. It really does make the photos all that more special. 

Congratulations on 3 months of marriage!! Lex and I cannot wait to hang out soon :)
