Dylan and Sydney Honey Creek Resort Iowa Wedding

I’d like to introduce Mr. and Mrs. Jones!

I had briefly met Sydney at a friends’ wedding we were shooting a few years ago but it was clear that Dylan was smitten with her. When we met up about a year late for their engagement session it was even more clear that these two were meant to be. They were so freaking happy to have each other and be starting this life together. And I just love that. Weddings are awesome but marriage is the truly amazing part.

Lex and I drove up the day before their wedding since it was about a 5 hour drive. Dylan and Sydney got married at this resort out in the middle of nowhere and it was just beautiful! We ran into our friend Devon at the bar while we were waiting for dinner and he was grabbing drinks for the rehearsal. It was so much fun getting to hang out with the bridal party that evening at the hotel bar and catch up. I went to high school with a good chunk of them and loved hearing about their lives since then. It makes me so happy to hear that they are happy :)

Dylan and Sydney had one of the most easy going days we have been a part of. It was a beautiful summer day at the resort where they got married overlooking the lake as boats went by. They got to hangout with all of their favorite people and dance the night away! Plus they officially got to marry their best friend. Could it get any better than that??

I have just loved being able to document their love story that last year and can’t wait to document more of their life!
