Ellen and Jonathan Boerner Botanical Gardens Hales Corner Wisconsin Engagement Session

Its not often we get to explore the grounds of the venue for a couple’s wedding at their engagement session but we got to do that with Ellen and Jonathan the other day :) We drove out to Hales Corner, WI and did their photos at the Boerner Botanical Gardens and the forest preserve up the street. It was just beautiful! They had their Christmas lights show decor up so we got to incorporate that into some of the photos and then made our way to the waterfall at the preserve.

But I think my favorite part was getting to take photos at the rotting tree! When we were walking about to our card to drive over there, Jonathan mentioned there is a rotting tree we could walk to. I am thinking its just some fallen down trunk in the woods. It was SO much cooler and made for an awesome spot for photos. I hope it is still there next summer for their wedding!

One of the great things about engagement sessions is getting to hear all of your plans for your wedding. Ellen was just SO excited. I love that their plans are getting them stoked for their wedding, regardless of how it happens. I know there is still a lot up in the air for wedding plans next summer but I think if they even get to do a fraction of what they planned it will be gorgeous.
