Shelbi and Brian Knox Indiana Lake House Wedding

This has been a hard year for everyone in so many different ways. One of them being that weddings have either had to be postponed, reimagined, or cancelled. It was near the beginning of lockdown where I started to feel sad that I may not get to see or celebrate with any of my couples this year. Or next year if they happen to choose a date I am not available. To say Lex and I are grateful that Shelbi and Brian included us in their lake house intimate wedding would be an understatement. I have seriously loved working with them this past year and while I am so sorry their wedding could not happen the way they originally planned, I cannot wait to celebrate with them a second time next summer.

We drove out to Knox, Indiana for the first time on their wedding day. Driving up it was mostly woods and I said to Lex that maybe I read Shelbi’s note wrong about it being at a bakehouse. Minutes later the woods opened up to a lake! It was like a hidden lake town. So many fun homes and people enjoying their time on the lake.

Shelbi and Brian were married just at the edge of the yard near the water while a small group of loved ones attended and more watched via Zoom. They celebrated by shotgunning beers and eating the most delicious BBQ pulled pork and Mac and cheese. I should have gone up for seconds, SO GOOD. After we left, it looked like they got got cozy in hang out clothes and had an awesome evening hanging out by the lake.

I could go on and on about how much we love Shelbi and Brian, these two rock!! I mean, take it from my post about their engagement session. Congratulations to the newlyweds! Your wedding was an incredible day <3
