Kristy and Andy Blackwell Forest Preserve Warrenville Engagement Session

When you get to shoot the engagement session and wedding of the maid of honor and best man from one of your favorite 2019 weddings, you do a little happy dance. So much fun to get to know Kristy and Andy better! On a wedding day, it can be so hard to really chat with your couple or their bridal party and family, so I loved getting to run around Blackwell Forest Preserve for their engagement session and learning about them! One of the things I remember from their speeches at Carly and Ricardo’s wedding was that they met through them. It was a sorta set up where they were hanging out but neither were super interested at first. Carly and Ricardo must have known (or at least hoped) how things were going to turn out because over 5 years later they are about to get married :)

While I love a good “love at first sight” kind of story, I also love the ones where maybe it took some time to figure out this was your person. And I love that they met through some of their best friends! It is clear after spending the evening with them that Kristy and Andy were meant for one another. Just the sweetest and cutest couple who seriously ROCKED their whole dang session. Like I might be sharing these photos forever. SO stinking cute.

Counting down the days until next summer when you two can finally get married!!

Oh! I almost forgot. Check out their adorable dog they adopted right at the beginning of lockdown. Her name is Rona and was her name when they adopted her. So they thought she should keep it. She was so adorable :)
