Tracy and Eric Nativity of Our Lord Bridgeport Illinois Wedding

To all the couples who have had to postpone, cancel, or reimagine your wedding days this year my heart goes out to you all. Tracy and Eric’s plans have gone through so many changes. They decided awhile ago they wanted to postpone their wedding to later this year but still wanted to get married on their original date. For awhile there, it was up in the air if we were going to be able to shoot in May. Then they had issues getting their marriage license. I had made a post a few weeks ago about how you can get your marriage license online but some counties seem more difficult than others. Due to appointment availability they had to push their wedding date back to June. And then back another weekend to make sure their priest was available. They finally were able to get married at the end of June with just a small group of family in attendance. I cannot tell you how happy we are for them!!

Lex unfortunately could not be there for their engagement session so when we were driving to the wedding I was telling him just how awesome Tracy and Eric were. As we left that day, he told me I was right. That they were some of the kindest people we had worked with and how glad he was that he got to finally meet them.

It always amazes me the creativity our couples have. Even before the pandemic our couples were finding fun and unique ways to make their wedding day their own. Tracy and Eric took a hard situation and made it incredible. While they couldn’t have everyone they loved physically be at their wedding, they had Zoom set up for people to join. After we were finished with their wedding portraits (which was at this awesome park) they had their first dance in Tracy’s mom’s front yard. The decorations were a surprise courtesy of a family friend. After their first dance, they had a “parade” where friends and family could drive by and help them celebrate. Some brought gifts, others made signs and Tracy and Eric used a claw to hand out favors. It was such freaking fun and cute!! And such a cool way to keep everyone involved in some way or another.

I could go on and on about their wedding but I think I’ll just have you scroll. Congratulations to the happy couple!!
