Kelsey and James Hidden Vineyard Barrien Springs Michigan Summer Wedding

We had extreme heat, no air, pouring rain and the most gorgeous sunset for Kelsey and Jame’s wedding day. I know when you think of your wedding day, you don’t dream of sweating through your dress shirt before the ceremony or having your ceremony rained out twice as you are walking down he aisle only to scramble and move in inside. You don’t plan for things to not happen the way you envision but quite honestly they usually don’t And some of my favorite days have been days like this! When it feels like so much is going “wrong” but it tells such an awesome story.

Also helps when you end it all with the most perfect sunset ever. Like the sun was showing OFF for us that night.

As Lex and I were driving back home that night, we talked about just how much we loved being a part of Kelsey and James wedding day. It was one of those days when a couples chemistry was so evident, we didn't;t have to do much guiding. They were just so happy to be married and with each other. We could have documented their day every weekend!

And then came time for the speeches and first dances. Man oh man, there was not a dry eye in the room. The way their people loved on them was so awesome. It is days like this that make me really love my job and what we get to be a part of.

Congratulations you two!! Thank you for trusting us to capture your wedding and bringing us out to Michigan. We got to celebrate you two and have a little date weekend + visit my grandparents. It was the best.
