Emily and Evan Cathedral of St Raymond and Joliet Union Station Grand Ballroom Wedding

Emily and Evan’s wedding at Cathedral of St Raymond and Joliet Union Station Grand Ballroom was the least one of 2019! I think they booked us almost 2 years ago so it was another one of those weddings we were anxiously awaiting. And it was such an awesome way to end our 2019 wedding season. Emily and Evan are such awesome humans. I honestly cannot say enough good things about them! Lex and I have really enjoyed working with them the last 2 years.

There are a couple things I want to showcase from their wedding! Their first being their love of all things Disney. If you remember their mini engagement session from 2017, they got engaged at Disney. DURING A HURRICANE. They were fine and made it home in one piece but it definitely made for a dramatic story. Well, Evan gave most beautiful Tangled inspired wedding gift. They also had Minnie and Mickey Mouse on their wedding programs and their cake topper referenced Disney Princesses. It is so much fun when couples can bring those personal details in to their day.

I have to point out how incredible their venue was. It is an old train station turned venue and holy wow was it gorgeous. It gave me some serious Great Gatsby vibes! When we walked into the grand ballroom where the reception was, it was lit up by candles. So magical and romantic! They also had this HUGE marquee sign that said Mr. and Mrs. which was just a ton of fun to get in the background of photos.

Emily mentioned she wanted to stop at Home Cut Donuts for of course some donuts and bridal party photos. I am ALL about a good donut on a wedding day so this was a ton of fun. Plus it was cold and a little misty on their day so getting to get some fun nontraditional photos out of the rain was perfect.
