Shelbi and Brian Wedding Shoot Anniversary Session Naperville Riverwalk

3 years we have been working with Shelbi and Brian to help capture the moments around their wedding day and it has finally come to an end. So bittersweet!! When we met up with them at the Naperville Riverwalk to do their wedding shoot, Brian was saying the same thing. They were married last summer at his sister’s lake house with just immediate family. It was such a perfect day! The weather was incredible, it was so laid back, they ate amazing food and hung out all night. They were planning on doing a big celebration this summer but ultimately decided to cancel that. BUT they didn’t get a chance to get dressed up on their wedding clothes so they wanted to use their date for their own wedding shoot. It was SO MUCH FUN. Not to mention, they looked freaking fantastic.

We started off with a first look since Brian hadn’t seen Shelbi in her actual wedding dress and then explored the Riverwalk. I think the photo gods were smiling down on us because the lighting was a photog’s dream. Then we made out way to Everdine’s Grilled Cheese for a snack. 10/10 would I recommend stopping for food on your wedding day or during your session. It is a fun and relaxing break for you two and a great activity to capture. Plus, who doesn't love a good treat??

Shelbi and Brian, Lex and I have just absolutely loved working with you two from the first moment we all pretty much showed up in black shirts and vans to your engagement session. While I am so happy you two got married last summer and had your wedding shoot a few weeks ago, I am sad that the wedding shenanigans are over. But remember, happy to run around and take photos and just have an awesome time with you guys anytime <3
