Teresa and Nick Cathedral of Immaculate Conception Springfield Illinois Wedding

If you happened to scroll through Teresa and Nick’s Springfield gallery before you read this you may never have guessed that this gorgeous day was a November wedding! I cannot tell you how perfect it was. The Saturday before was soooo cold I was nervous we wouldn’t be able to run around Springfield. Little did I know though, we would actually be going inside the capitol for a few anyway! Which was so fun. I think the last time I was there was for a field trip in 6th grade. Definitely very different than what I remember.

If you remember Teresa and Nick, we did their engagement session at Matthiessen State Park earlier this year. It was another super cold day and we ended up slipping and sliding all over the park. It was hilarious. If only we had video! Teresa gushed about their ceremony plans and how incredible the experience was going to be. While they couldn’t wait for their wedding, they were truly just so excited to finally be married. Their ceremony was just gorgeous. The way the light came in through the windows felt magical. Teresa and Nick actually met on a dating site! But were already connected through several people. They just hadn’t crossed paths on their own. It was like fate! And I couldn’t imagine a more perfect pair.

One of my favorite parts of the day was when The Wobble came on during the party. If you don’t know that is one of my favorite songs to dance to at a wedding. Well EVERYONE got into it. Even the priests were all on the dance floor busting moves which just made my night!

Teresa and Nick are some of the kindest people we have had the pleasure of working with and I feel grateful we got to be a little part of their love story. Congratulations to the Grays!
